Before crossing the graduation stage, members of the Mahopac High School Class of 2026 made a special return to where their educational journeys began, visiting Austin Road, Fulmar Road and Lakeview elementary schools for the district’s annual senior walk-through tradition.
Dressed in caps and gowns, the seniors were welcomed by cheering students and staff members who lined the hallways with smiles and high fives. The visits offered graduating seniors an opportunity to reflect on how far they have come while inspiring the district’s youngest learners to imagine the possibilities that lie ahead.
“For our seniors, this tradition is a powerful reminder of where their journey began and all they have accomplished along the way,” Mahopac High School Principal Patrick Keevins said. “At the same time, it gives our younger students a chance to see what years of hard work, perseverance and involvement can lead to. It is a meaningful moment for everyone involved.”
The annual visits highlighted the strong connections that unite Mahopac’s schools and celebrated the accomplishments of the Class of 2026 as they prepared to begin their next chapter.
