Mahopac High School students explored future career paths and service opportunities during the school’s annual Career and Service-Learning Fair, an event that continues to grow thanks to the dedication of the school counseling department and strong support from the community.
Organized by April Ljumic, administrator for school counseling, the fair welcomed a wide range of professionals, organizations and agencies which shared their experiences and insights with students. Throughout the day, students engaged in meaningful conversations, asked questions and learned about potential career paths, training programs and ways to get involved in community service.
“This event is such a valuable experience for our students,” Ljumic said. “We are incredibly grateful to our community partners who take the time to be here and share their knowledge. Their willingness to connect with our students helps open doors and give students a better understanding of the many paths available to them after high school.”
Superintendent of Schools Frank Miele praised the efforts behind the event and the impact it has on students.
“We are fortunate to have such a strong partnership between our schools and community organizations,” Miele said. “April and the entire team did an outstanding job organizing this event, and we are grateful to everyone who participated. Opportunities like this help our students better prepare for their future.”
